Abstract

The global shift towards sustainable development has become imperative in addressing the environmental challenges of the 21st century. The energy transition from fossil-based to renewable energy resources is central to this transformation. This paper explores the role of renewable energy in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs), examining the environmental, economic, and social benefits of incorporating renewable resources into national and global energy strategies. Through the examination of various renewable energy technologies and their impact on reducing carbon emissions, the paper argues that the transition to renewable energy is crucial for mitigating climate change, promoting energy security, and fostering longterm economic resilience.
