Swarm robotics, inspired by natural systems such as ant colonies and bee swarms, represents a promising advancement in the field of autonomous systems. These robots, when working collaboratively, offer the potential for performing complex tasks in environments that are dangerous or difficult for humans. This paper explores the concept of swarm robotics, the mechanisms behind their collaborative nature, their applications in hazardous environments, and challenges associated with their deployment. Through an examination of the current literature, this study highlights the ways in which swarm robotics can be utilized for tasks such as search and rescue operations, environmental monitoring, and hazardous material handling, while also addressing concerns regarding scalability, robustness, and ethical implications.
