Abstract

The integration of digital technologies in K-12 education has transformed the landscape of learning, necessitating the development of digital literacy skills among students. This research explores the relationship between digital literacy and student performance in K-12 education. Digital literacy encompasses not only the ability to use digital tools but also critical thinking, online safety, and digital communication. Through a comprehensive review of literature, this paper identifies how digital literacy skills influence academic achievement, engagement, and preparedness for future academic or career paths. The findings suggest that enhancing digital literacy positively affects student performance, though challenges in equitable access and teacher preparation remain. The paper concludes with recommendations for integrating digital literacy into curricula to optimize learning outcomes.
